Senegal finished the tournament with two defeats and one victory over Ukraine, scoring 11 goals and conceding 17. Babacar Fall emerged as the team’s top scorer with 6 goals. For Côte d’Ivoire, the competition was also disappointing with three defeats in as many matches, including the last one against Japan. The Ivorian team, facing visa issues, had only 6 players and conceded 19 goals while scoring 11. Senegal was noted for having the highest number of fouls committed in the competition, earning 8 yellow cards and 2 red cards. Ivory Coast also had 5 yellow cards. Despite their challenges, Ivory Coast brought the youngest team to the tournament, with an average age of 22 years and 11 months. Senegal ranked third in terms of average age at 22 years and 8 months.
