Monaco Midfielder Kondogbia Urges Team to Bounce Back Against Bordeaux
Geoffrey Kondogbia has yet to come to terms with Monaco’s opening-day defeat to FC Lorient. Speaking to the club’s official website, the young midfielder emphasized the need for a strong response in their upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Bordeaux.
“It’s difficult to start badly. We were keen to win the match against Lorient, especially at home,” Kondogbia admitted. “Now, we’re going to have a great week and work hard to react immediately in Bordeaux. We’re not the only team to have started badly. There’s still a long way to go.”
Monaco will look to use this setback as motivation when they face the Girondins at the Chaban-Delmas Stadium, with Kondogbia signaling a determined attitude to improve and earn points on the road.
