JUVENTUS MOVE CLOSER TO SIGNING AYMEN ABDENNOUR
Aymen Abdennour could finally be heading to Juventus Turin. Long linked with FC Barcelona, the Tunisian international has caught the attention of several top European clubs, and it now appears that the Old Lady is stepping up its efforts to land the Monaco defender.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has made contact with AS Monaco to discuss the potential transfer of the former Toulouse player. Abdennour, who has openly expressed his desire to join Barcelona, may now be leaning toward a move to Serie A, especially after Barça ruled out any more summer signings.
Monaco, for their part, are holding firm on their €20 million valuation of the 26-year-old center-back. Whether Juve will meet that asking price remains to be seen, but their need to reinforce the defense — especially after losing Andrea Barzagli to injury and bidding farewell to Angelo Ogbonna — could push them to accelerate the deal.
Abdennour, known for his physicality, aggressive style, and aerial dominance, would fit well into Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive setup. A transfer could be completed swiftly if Juventus decide to meet Monaco’s demands.
