Monaco: Jardim Aims to Make Up for Lost Time Against Bordeaux

Monaco Seeks Immediate Response After Opening Day Setback

After a disappointing 1-2 home defeat to Lorient on the opening day of Ligue 1, AS Monaco must quickly turn their fortunes around. Coach Leonardo Jardim stressed the urgency ahead of their Sunday evening trip to Bordeaux.

“Our urgent task is to win as quickly as possible,” Jardim said during Friday’s press conference. “We need to identify our mistakes, our limitations, and correct them. But there is no game plan if there is no victory.”

Jardim has closely analyzed Bordeaux’s style under coach Willy Sagnol, describing them as “a team that likes to have the ball and doesn’t give it away.” Despite the challenge, Monaco will be confident, having beaten Bordeaux home and away last season.

Sunday’s clash at 9 p.m. promises an exciting encounter and an important opportunity for Monaco to regain momentum.
