MONACO: EL SHAARAWY SCORES ON DEBUT AGAINST PSV
Recently signed by AS Monaco, Stephan El Shaarawy wasted no time in making an impression. The Italian forward of Egyptian descent made his debut this Friday in a friendly match against PSV Eindhoven, coming on as a substitute and finding the back of the net for Monaco’s second goal.
Clearly thrilled with his performance, El Shaarawy took to Twitter to share his excitement:
“Great emotion!!! First match and first goal in the Monaco jersey.”
This strong start raises hopes for a resurgent season for the former AC Milan player, who has struggled with injuries in recent years. Monaco fans will now be eager to see if this early promise translates into a breakout 2015–2016 campaign.
