Guinean international striker Momo Yansané has signed a two-year contract with Torpedo Kutaisi, the current second-place team in the Georgian top division. This move, finalized on Friday, July 12, marks a new chapter for the 26-year-old forward as he seeks to rejuvenate his career in Europe.

Yansané’s transfer to Torpedo Kutaisi comes after a challenging period at Croatian club HNK Rijeka.

Despite high hopes following his standout performances in the Guinean Ligue 1 during the 2016-2017 season with Hafia FC, Yansané struggled to make a significant impact in Europe.

His journey has taken him through several clubs, including Minsk Raion in Belarus, Pari Nizhny Novgorod in Russia, and Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova.

At Torpedo Kutaisi, Yansané will be working under the tutelage of Scottish coach Steve Kean.

The club, which is competing in the UEFA Conference League preliminaries, is aiming to leverage Yansané’s attacking prowess to secure victories and maintain its strong position in the Georgian league.

With the championship already in progress for the 2023-2024 season, Yansané is expected to integrate quickly and contribute immediately.

Yansané’s career in Europe has been a series of near misses and unfulfilled potential. Despite the promise he showed in Guinea, his stints across various leagues have not yielded the success many anticipated.

The move to Torpedo Kutaisi represents another opportunity for Yansané to find his form and deliver on his early promise.

The 2023-2024 Georgian football season, which runs from February to December, offers Yansané a full campaign to establish himself.

Torpedo Kutaisi’s current second-place standing provides a solid platform for the striker to make a significant impact.

The club’s ambitions in both domestic and European competitions will test Yansané’s abilities and resilience.

For Yansané, this move is more than just a transfer; it is a crucial step in his career. The Guinean forward is determined to prove his worth and help his new team achieve its goals.

As he joins Torpedo Kutaisi, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if Yansané can finally fulfill his potential and become a key player in the Georgian league.

Momo Yansané’s journey to Torpedo Kutaisi is a testament to his perseverance and determination. After a series of challenging stints across Europe, the Guinean striker is poised for a fresh start in Georgia.

With the support of his new club and coach, Yansané aims to reignite his career and demonstrate the talent that once made him a standout in Guinean football.

As the season unfolds, his progress will be a storyline to follow in both the Georgian league and the broader European football landscape.
