Italian striker of Ivorian descent, Moise Kean has been ruled out of Fiorentina’s upcoming clash against Lecce in the Serie A.
The 24-year-old spent Sunday night under medical observation after collapsing during the Serie A encounter against Hellas Verona.
The incident occurred when Kean sustained a head injury following a collision during the game.
However, moments after resuming play, Kean collapsed again, lying motionless on the turf as players frantically called for emergency assistance.
Medical personnel stabilised the former Juventus star with a neck brace before transporting him off the field via stretcher in the 67th minute.
Although he is currently stable and making a full recovery, medical experts at Fiorentina have advised against immediate integration into the team.
As a result, Kean will not be in the Fiorentina squad for Friday’s game against Lecce in the Serie A.
The cub is confident that the striker will be cleared for duty in the match that will come after the Lecce game.
