Mohammed Kudus left without a coach after West Ham sack Julen Lopetegui

JULEN LOPETEGUI KUDUS Scaled 1

Ghana star Mohammed Kudus is now without a manager after West Ham United parted ways with Julen Lopetegui following a challenging first half of the season.

The 24-year-old and the Spanish coach had a fallout earlier in the season after Kudus was substituted during the first half of a match. Since then, Kudus has struggled to replicate the form he enjoyed last season under David Moyes.

Lopetegui, who replaced David Moyes in the summer, became the first manager in West Ham’s history to lose his opening three Premier League games. He won just three of his first 10 league matches. After a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, speculation over Lopetegui’s future reached its peak, and the club finally decided to part ways with the former Sevilla and Real Madrid boss.

Lopetegui departs with West Ham sitting 14th in the league table, having suffered nine defeats despite a significant summer outlay in the transfer market.

Reports indicate that Kudus may soon be working under Graham Potter, with the former Brighton manager expected to be named as Lopetegui’s replacement in the coming hours.

The club also confirmed that Assistant Head Coach Pablo Sanz, Head of Performance Oscar Caro, Head Analyst Juan Vicente Peinado, Fitness Coach Borja De Alba, and Technical Coach Edu Rubio have all left with immediate effect.
