Mohammed Garba linked with AS Trencin move after 42 NPFL appearances

Nigeria winger Mohammed Garba is being linked with a move from Nasarawa United to Slovakian club AS Trencin.

The 19-year-old, who plays as a left winger, currently represents Nasarawa United in Nigeria’s NPFL and has a contract running until 30 June 2027. The reported interest from AS Trencin comes with the Slovak club competing in the Nike Liga.

Garba has made 42 NPFL appearances for Nasarawa United, scoring five goals and providing one assist across 2,365 minutes. His latest recorded market value is €50,000.

The winger joined the Nasarawa United setup without a recorded transfer date and has established his senior career with the club. He is predominantly right-footed despite operating on the left side of attack.

Any move would therefore involve a player who remains under contract with Nasarawa United, rather than one approaching the end of his current deal. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported as part of the rumour.

AS Trencin’s reported interest would represent a move from the NPFL to Slovakia’s top flight for Garba, whose senior record to date consists of his appearances for Nasarawa United. For now, the proposed switch remains unconfirmed, with the winger contracted to the Nigerian club until June 2027.
