Mohamed Tariqui: French-Moroccan midfielder makes FCE MA switch
French-Moroccan defensive midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old completed the move on 4 August 2026, remaining in France’s National 2 – Group A after changing clubs. Tariqui becomes part of the FCE MA midfield after a season with Trelissac, who he joined from Stade Bordelais in July 2025, also on a free transfer.
Tariqui made 25 National 2 appearances and scored four goals during one of his recorded campaigns in the competition. He also registered 22 appearances and three goals in another National 2 season, underlining his experience at the level in which FCE MA compete.
Born in Pessac, France, Tariqui represents both French and Moroccan nationality. He operates primarily as a defensive midfielder and is right-footed, giving FCE MA a player whose role is centred in the middle of the pitch.
His move to Trelissac followed a two-year spell with Stade Bordelais, which began in July 2022 after he left Merignac. Tariqui had previously played for Merignac’s under-19 side before progressing into senior football with the club.
Alongside his National 2 experience, Tariqui has appeared in the Coupe de France and Coupe Gambardella. His recorded cup appearances include four matches in the Coupe de France and two in the Coupe Gambardella, where he scored once.
Tariqui is listed at 1.84m and joined FCE MA without a transfer fee after leaving Trelissac. The move was completed on 4 August, with the midfielder now registered as an FCE MA player.
