Mohamed Sissoko tips ruthless PSG to silence Liverpool at Anfield

Mohamed Sissoko expects Paris Saint-Germain to arrive at Anfield with a ruthless edge as they look to finish the job against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.

The former PSG and Liverpool midfielder believes the momentum is firmly with the French champions after their 2-0 win in the first leg at the Parc des Princes.

“Liverpool remains a very great team, but unfortunately, they are a side in decline unlike PSG, who can still dream of winning the Champions League,” Sissoko told Le Parisien, as relayed by Planete PSG. He argued that PSG’s mentality now sets them apart, adding: “Paris is among the best teams in the world, with a mindset that allows them to approach matches with great confidence and determination.”

Looking ahead to the return match, Sissoko made it clear he expects no let-up from Luis Enrique’s side. “I don’t see them being complacent in the second leg. On the contrary, they are coming to hurt them,” he insisted, predicting a front-foot performance from PSG at Anfield. With a two-goal cushion and their confidence high, the visitors know another strong display could leave Liverpool with a night to forget on home soil.
