Mohamed Sherif made his comeback to the Egyptian Premier League unforgettable.
Just six minutes into Al Ahly’s clash with FC Pharco, the striker calmly finished to open the scoring.
It was more than a goal, it was his 41st league strike for the Red Devils, a number that now puts him among the club’s top 15 scorers, level with Mostafa Abdo.
Sherif’s return follows a spell in Saudi Arabia with Al Khaleej. Back in familiar colors, he showed the same sharp instincts that made him a fan favorite. His tally in the Egyptian League now stands at 59 goals overall, with 41 for Al Ahly, a mark that etches his name into the club’s proud history.
The night also belonged to Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, who finally found the net for Al Ahly. In the 21st minute, Tunisian teammate Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane delivered a pinpoint cross that Zizo headed home.
Signed on June 6 after leaving Zamalek, Zizo had already provided three assists but no goals. That wait is now over, and his confidence seems to be growing.
