Mohamed Shehata ruled out as Zamalek prepare for Wadi Degla clash
Mohamed Shehata will not be part of Zamalek’s squad when they take on Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday night.
The midfielder has been left out after the club’s medical staff confirmed he picked up a muscle strain.
Zamalek coach Yannick Ferreira announced the squad for the fifth-round match set for 9:00 PM at Al-Salam Stadium. The Belgian tactician will have to find solutions in midfield without Shehata, whose absence comes as a blow to the team’s plans.
The goalkeeping department features Mohamed Sobhi, Mahdy Soliman and Mahmoud El-Shenawy. In defense, Ferreira will rely on Ahmed Fattouh, Mahmoud Bentayg, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh, Hossam Abdel-Majeed, Mohamed Ismail, Salah Mosadak and Omar Gaber.
Midfield options include Mohamed El Sayed, Ahmed Abdel Rahim “Esho,” Seif Jaafar, Nasser Maher, Ahmed Hamdy, Abdullah El Said, Amr Nasser, Chico Panza, Juan Bezerra and Adam Kayed.
Up front, Nasser Mansi and Oday Al-Dabbagh will lead the line as Zamalek aim to secure an important victory without one of their key midfielders.
