Former Ismaily vice president Mohamed Sheha has taken aim at the club’s leadership, calling for their resignation over what he sees as a steady collapse in standards.
Sheha made his stance clear during a televised interview, insisting that immediate and firm action is needed to rescue the once-proud club.
He said in televised statements that the current phase requires decisive intervention to save the entity from decline.
He added that the Ismaili statement regarding the failure of the no-confidence campaign was simply “incorrect,” explaining that signature collection is still ongoing until the end of the legally specified 15-day period.
He explained that the administrative body remains neutral, and that the Minister of Sports is monitoring developments. He rejected what he described as “lies” circulating about the campaign’s failure, stressing that the number of signatories so far has reached 1,780, a clear indication of the public’s desire for change.
He concluded by stating that the club’s real problem is not financial, but rather a lack of vision and competent leadership capable of using its resources and legacy effectively.
