Mohamed Seck joins Foggia as Roma defender makes Serie C loan switch

Senegalese-Italian centre-back Mohamed Seck has joined Foggia from Roma Under-20 on loan, completing a move to the Italian third tier until 30 June 2027.

The 20-year-old defender, who was born in Vigevano, will continue his development with Foggia after spending the previous season with Roma’s youth side in Primavera 1. He has also made four appearances in Serie C, playing 78 minutes in the competition.

Seck made 58 Primavera 1 appearances for Roma Under-20, scoring eight goals. He also featured in the Coppa Primavera, Primavera Fase Finale and Coppa Serie C, as well as making three appearances at Under-18 level.

Standing at 1.92m and preferring his right foot, Seck arrives at Foggia as a centre-back with experience across youth and senior competitions in Italy. His move gives him the opportunity to play regularly in Serie C – C while remaining contracted to Roma beyond the loan period.

Seck joined Roma Under-19 from Pro Vercelli in January 2024 in a deal worth €250,000. Before that move, he had progressed from Pro Vercelli Under-19 to the club’s senior team.

His current market value is €600,000, and his loan spell at Foggia is scheduled to end on 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Roma.

The transfer was completed on 14 August 2026, with Seck now a Foggia player on loan from Roma Under-20.
