Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reacted to Mohamed Salah’s reaction during the game against PSG in midweek.
The Egyptian was taken off in the game played on Wednesday in Paris and appeared unusually animated.
However, Arne Slot insists there was no issue. He believes the frustration was normal, especially when he put up a fine performance for Liverpool and wanted to score to secure victory for his team.
“It’s not the headline Mo was frustrated but his behaviour was normal, we shook hands and maybe he thought he’d score the one chance that might come.
“People say good sub as Harvey [Elliott] scored but Mo would tell me he would have scored that too! A normal reaction [to being taken off]. All of them show great character and we need that tomorrow,” Arne Slot said.
He continued, “They are not playing as a team who are bottom, they take risks, go man-to-man and they saw how difficult we had with that game plan against Paris.”
Mohamed Salah will be in action for Liverpool this weekend when the team takes on Southampton.
