Mohamed Salah tops Turkish league scoring charts after Galatasaray hat-trick

Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick as Trabzonspor defeated Galatasaray 4-0 in the sixth round of the Turkish league.

The Egypt captain’s three goals took his league total to seven, moving him to the top of the scoring standings.

Salah is now one goal ahead of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, who has scored six times.

The performance was Salah’s first hat-trick in the Turkish league since joining Trabzonspor. It was also his first treble for a club since he scored three times against Rangers in the Champions League group stage on 12 October 2022.

Salah’s latest achievement marked his first hat-trick in any competition since he scored four goals for Egypt against Djibouti in World Cup qualifying on 16 November 2023.
