Liverpool, in addition to having a player like Luis Suarez, is reportedly aiming to secure Mohamed Salah from FC Basel. The Egyptian international has attracted interest from several top clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Juventus, Inter Milan, and Monaco. However, it appears that Liverpool, led by coach Brendan Rodgers, is keen on acquiring Salah.
Rodgers personally supervised Salah during the Champions League group match where Basel faced Schalke 04. Liverpool is rumored to be preparing an offer of 14 million euros for Salah, although Basel is said to be seeking 18 million euros for the player who was voted the best player in the Swiss championship.
If the deal goes through, Salah could potentially join Liverpool during the winter transfer window or, at the latest, in the summer.
