Mohamed Salah sets new fantasy record with Premier League price surge
Mohamed Salah has rewritten Fantasy Premier League history ahead of the 2025–26 season, becoming the most expensive midfielder ever at the start of a campaign.
The Liverpool star has been priced at £14.5 million on the game’s official website, a reflection of his extraordinary performance last season, where he topped all players with 344 fantasy points. This figure breaks the long-standing record set by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2008–09 season, when the Portuguese icon was valued at £14 million.
Salah’s value not only cements his dominance in fantasy circles but also highlights his unmatched consistency on the pitch.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland comes in slightly lower at £14 million after a dip in fantasy form last season, finishing fifth among forwards with 181 points. Fellow Egyptian Omar Marmoush starts at £8.5 million.
Other top player prices for the season include Cole Palmer and Alexander Isak at £10.5 million, Florian Wirtz at £8.5 million, Cameronian attacker Bryan Mbeumo at £8 million, and Chris Wood at £7.5 million.
