Mohamed Salah scored twice and created another goal as Trabzonspor took a 3-0 half-time lead against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
Salah opened the scoring after only four minutes, breaking forward from inside his own half during a counter-attack. The Egypt forward carried the ball clear of the Galatasaray defence before rounding goalkeeper Orjan Cakir and finishing into the net.
The goal gave Trabzonspor an early advantage in the matchday seven meeting, billed as one of the biggest fixtures in the Turkish league.
Salah then turned provider in the 39th minute, setting up Trabzonspor’s second goal. His pass was converted by Noah Saviolo to double the hosts’ lead.
The former Liverpool forward completed his brace shortly before half-time. After receiving an excellent pass from Frankolino in the 44th minute, Salah found the net again to make it 3-0.
The two goals took Salah’s tally in the Turkish league with Trabzonspor to six. Before the match, he had scored once against Amed Sportif and once against Genclerbirligi, while he had also scored twice against Istanbul Basaksehir.
The fixture was also an important test for Trabzonspor’s new German manager, Thomas Reis, as his side looked to secure their first victory under his leadership.
Galatasaray, meanwhile, went into the match seeking three points that would allow them to maintain their position alone at the top of the Turkish league.
The goals were shared in video posts by beIN SPORTS on 19 September 2026, with footage showing Salah’s early strike, Saviolo’s finish and the Egyptian’s second goal.
