Mohamed Salah scores first Turkey hat-trick as Trabzonspor stun Galatasaray

Mohamed Salah produced a 10-out-of-10 display with just four shots as Trabzonspor defeated Galatasaray 4-0 in the Turkish league on Saturday.

The Egypt forward scored his first hat-trick in Turkey and also provided an assist as Trabzonspor secured a dominant victory in the sixth round of the competition.

The result moved Trabzonspor up to fifth place with 10 points, three behind leaders Galatasaray.

Salah has now scored seven goals in the league this season, putting him at the top of the competition’s scoring charts.

According to WhoScored, Salah was awarded the maximum rating of 10 for his performance in the match. His three goals and assist came from only four attempts, with three of those efforts on target.

He also completed three successful dribbles and created two key chances.

WhoScored published the statistics on X, listing Salah’s performance as three goals, one assist, four shots, three shots on target, three successful dribbles, two key passes and a rating of 10.00.

The account described his display against Galatasaray as “quality that never changes” and said it was the highest-rated performance of his career since he produced a perfect 10 against Manchester United in May 2023.

That match saw Liverpool beat Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield in March 2023, with Salah scoring twice.

Those goals also saw him overtake Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler to become the club’s leading scorer in the Premier League at the time, with 129 goals.
