Mohamed Salah set for Trabzonspor switch

Trabzonspor are reportedly awaiting Mohamed Salah’s final decision after negotiations over a summer move for the Egyptian forward reached an advanced stage.

According to Turkish outlet 61 Saat, the Super Lig side are optimistic that an agreement can be reached during the current transfer window and have already accepted one of the player’s key demands.

The report claims that Salah requested part of his salary to be paid in advance, a condition that Trabzonspor’s hierarchy immediately approved as they seek to complete the transfer.

Club waiting for final answer

Trabzonspor officials are now waiting for the Egypt captain’s response before moving ahead with the final stages of the deal.

The Turkish newspaper added that, provided there are no unexpected setbacks, the club plans to send a private jet to Greece on Wednesday to bring Salah to Istanbul before he travels to Trabzon to complete the formalities of his transfer.

Supporters have reacted enthusiastically to the prospect of signing one of Africa’s biggest football stars, with club officials reportedly preparing a special welcome should the move go through.

More signings expected

Trabzonspor are also expected to strengthen their attack further once negotiations with Salah are concluded.

According to the report, club executives believe Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu alone is not enough to lead the team’s frontline next season.

Club president Ertuğrul Doğan is expected to meet coach Fatih Tekke after the end of the club’s training camp to discuss additional transfer targets.
