Despite Liverpool’s inconsistent form in the Premier League this season, with the reigning champions currently sitting sixth in the table, Mohamed Salah’s numbers have remained outstanding.
A recent statistical report from data outlet Squawka highlighted the Egyptian star’s sustained impact, ranking him top for open-play chances created since the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
From the beginning of the 2024/25 season through to February 2026, Salah has created 117 chances from open play, a figure that puts him comfortably ahead of his closest rivals.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is second on the list with 107 chances, followed by Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández on 97. The top 10 also includes big names such as Cole Palmer (Chelsea) and Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) with 80 chances each, just ahead of Alex Iwobi (Fulham) and Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle United).
Further down the ranking, Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal) has 78 chances, with teammate Bukayo Saka on 77 and Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) on 75.
These figures underline Salah’s crucial role not only as a prolific scorer but also as one of the league’s most influential creators, driving Liverpool’s attacking creativity even in a difficult period for the team.
