The Egyptian national football team has received a significant boost with the arrival of their star player, Mohamed Salah, ahead of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Group A. Salah, who was the only player yet to join the squad, arrived on Saturday, June 1st, completing the roster under head coach Hossam Hassan.

The Egyptian Football Federation (EFA) announced Salah’s arrival through an official statement on their Twitter page.

The Liverpool forward, known for his prolific scoring and leadership on the pitch, was warmly welcomed by the coaching staff, including Hossam Hassan and his brother Ibrahim Hassan.

The 31-year-old Salah, sporting a fresh haircut, appeared ready and motivated to lead his national team in the crucial upcoming matches.

Dressed in a white Lacoste shirt and black shorts emblazoned with the national team logo, Salah’s presence is expected to provide a significant morale boost to the squad.

His inclusion completes the team selection, allowing Coach Hossam Hassan to fully utilize his tactical plans with all key players available.

The only concern remains with Ahmed Fatouh, who is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program following an injury complaint.

Egypt’s campaign in Group A sees them preparing for two vital fixtures. They are set to face Burkina Faso on June 6th, followed by a match against Guinea-Bissau on June 10th.

Maintaining their leadership in the group, these matches are critical for Egypt’s journey towards securing a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

Salah’s return is not just a tactical advantage but also a psychological one. Known for his work ethic and on-field prowess, Salah’s involvement is likely to inspire his teammates and fortify the squad’s resolve.

The Egyptian fans, eagerly anticipating these matches, will look to their star player to lead by example and secure victories that could pave the way to World Cup qualification.

In summary, with Mohamed Salah back in the fold, Egypt is set to face their upcoming World Cup qualifiers with renewed strength and determination.

The presence of their star player, coupled with the tactical acumen of Hossam Hassan, puts the Pharaohs in a strong position to continue their successful run in the qualifiers.
