Mohamed Salah has looked back fondly on his early days at Liverpool, sharing memories of the first teammates who truly amazed him in training.

In a video published on the club’s official X account, the Egyptian star appeared alongside young defender Conor Bradley, as both were asked which player first left them stunned on the pitches of Anfield.

Salah, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has since become one of the club’s modern icons, immediately highlighted the talent of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana. He said: “Their keen vision and their fascination with the ball were the first things that caught my attention.”

Those early sessions, full of tight control, clever movement and quick combinations, helped shape his understanding of the team’s attacking rhythm under German coach Jurgen Klopp.

He quickly adapted to a high-pressing, counter-attacking setup, where his pace and movement allowed him to attack spaces behind defenders with devastating effect. This had a clear impact on Liverpool’s threat from the wings, significantly boosting their goal return in wide areas.

By the end of his first season, Salah had established himself as a ruthless finisher, maintaining an elite level of efficiency that matched his career average of converting roughly 15 percent of his shots into goals at the top level.
