Mohamed Salah has spoken fondly about his strong connection with former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, shedding light on their relationship despite the ups and downs of their final season together at Anfield.
While tensions flared between the two in a heated moment against West Ham, the Egyptian forward revealed that he and Klopp remained in close contact even after the German’s departure.
“We have elaborated each other repeatedly in the past few months, and he was asking me about my family, and he congratulated me after several games, especially after we arrived in the League Cup final, and things like that,” Salah shared.
After Klopp’s departure, the Egyptian star continues to be Liverpool’s key player.
As for life under new boss Arne Slot, Salah admitted he was surprised by how quickly the squad adapted. “I did not expect this to happen very quickly, but the coach did not change much for us,” he said.
Slot’s tactical tweaks have been subtle, focusing on counter-pressing and ball retention. “They are just simple differences, and I do not see much differences between them,” Salah added.
