Ahmed Abdel Aziz Al-Bambi, grandfather of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, passed away on Monday morning.
Al-Bambi, who served as chairman of the Mohamed Salah Youth Center, was also the uncle of the Egyptian football star.
His family announced that the funeral will be held after the noon prayers in Nagrig, a village in the Basyoun district.
The service is scheduled to take place in front of his home following the afternoon prayer.
Salah, who featured in Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, is set to return to action this week as the team prepares to face Sunderland in the Premier League on Wednesday and Brighton in the FA Cup on Saturday.
