Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian star and Liverpool winger, is at the center of Saudi Al Hilal’s transfer plans as the club gears up for the Club World Cup next summer in the United States.
With his Liverpool contract set to expire at the season’s end, Salah could sign with any club in January and join for free in the summer.
According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Al Hilal views Salah as a prime candidate to replace Brazilian forward Neymar, whose stint at the club has been marred by injuries since his record €90 million transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023.
Neymar’s recurring injuries, including a cruciate ligament setback and subsequent complications, have left uncertainty about his future with Al Hilal. The Saudi club is now keen to revamp its attacking lineup, with Salah identified as a marquee signing.
Salah, whose name has also been linked to European giants Barcelona and PSG, is regarded as a pivotal figure to bolster Al Hilal’s aspirations on the global stage.
