Chelsea is reportedly targeting Mohamed Salah from FC Basel as a replacement for Juan Mata, who is set to move to Manchester United. Although Liverpool is said to be ahead in negotiations, Chelsea is offering 13.5 million euros to the Swiss club for the services of the Egyptian left attacking midfielder. If the transfer goes through, Salah would be ineligible for the Champions League with Chelsea.
