Mohamed Salah chases personal milestone and eyes Sadio Mane’s record

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s Egyptian star, is on the verge of two milestones ahead of the team’s Crystal Palace clash in the EFL Cup.

With Liverpool enduring a rough patch, losing four Premier League games in a row, including one defeat to Crystal Palace, Salah remains a bright spot, having just scored against Brentford even as Liverpool lost 3-2.

If Salah scores in the upcoming match, he will reach 250 goals for Liverpool. He currently has nine goals against Crystal Palace in 16 games, trailing only Sadio Mane, who netted ten against them in just ten matches.

Reflecting on his career, Salah said, “After beginning at Al Mokawloon, I seized every opportunity to grow. Moving to Basel opened doors in Europe, and stints at Chelsea, Fiorentina, Roma, then joining Liverpool, made me who I am.” He’s now the third all-time top scorer for Liverpool with 249, and with 61 goals for Egypt, Salah is second only to Hossam Hassan.

Salah’s relentless pursuit of excellence has solidified his status among football’s elite.
