Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly preparing for a major transfer coup next summer, with Mohamed Salah among a group of high-profile European stars being closely monitored ahead of a potential wave of big-money moves.
Decision-makers within the Saudi Roshan League are said to be targeting the signing of up to 50 foreign players who are still performing at the peak of their careers, with expectations of significant activity following the 2026 World Cup.
According to TalkSPORT, the shortlist also features a small number of older stars who could receive lucrative offers from the Middle East before the summer transfer window opens.
Among the prominent names linked with a possible move are Mohamed Salah, Bruno Fernandes, Vinicius Junior, Casemiro and Robert Lewandowski.
The report adds that officials from the Saudi Roshan League have already made an initial inquiry regarding Salah, following comments he made after Liverpool’s draw with Leeds last December, in which he suggested that his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had reached a dead end.
Despite this, Liverpool are said to have no intention of selling the Egyptian forward during the current winter transfer window.
TalkSPORT claims that three Saudi clubs, Al Hilal, Neom and Al Qadisiyah, have been informed of Liverpool’s stance.
The club remains firm that Salah will stay at Anfield until the end of his contract in the summer of 2027, although a departure in 2026 is seen as a scenario that could suit all parties, particularly if Liverpool move to sign a new right winger.
Saudi interest in Salah is not new. Al-Ittihad previously submitted a £150 million bid for the Liverpool star in the summer of 2023, an offer that was rejected, but the club could yet revive its pursuit of the Egyptian international
