Mohamed Reda: Egyptian midfielder joins El Gouna from Cleopatra FC
Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Reda has joined El Gouna from Cleopatra FC, strengthening the Premier League side’s options in central midfield ahead of the new campaign.
The 23-year-old, a right-footed central midfielder, links up with El Gouna after leaving fellow Egyptian Premier League club Cleopatra FC. The move, completed on 23 July 2026, sees him return permanently to a coastal club environment following a recent spell away on loan.
Reda arrives with top-flight experience and a winners’ medal already on his CV, having lifted the Egyptian League Cup with Cleopatra FC in the 2024-25 season. His performances in that period helped establish him as a first-team option and underpin his status with an estimated market value of €75,000 at the time of the transfer.
Before his latest move, Reda’s development had accelerated through a series of domestic steps. He initially joined Cleopatra FC from Al Ahly’s U21 set-up on a free transfer in September 2023, securing a pathway into senior football. The following day he moved to Qanah on loan for the 2023-24 season, returning to Cleopatra at the end of that campaign having gained regular game time.
Standing at 1.82m and operating primarily as a central midfielder, Reda will now compete for a place in El Gouna’s engine room as they prepare for the 2026-27 Premier League season.
Reda’s switch from Cleopatra FC to El Gouna marks a completed domestic transfer for one of Egypt’s emerging central midfielders.
