Mohamed Ouédraogo: Sturm Graz eye €1.20m-rated SCR Altach left-back in Austrian Bundesliga switch

Sturm Graz are being linked with a move for Burkina Faso left-back Mohamed Ouédraogo from SCR Altach, with the transfer rated at a 69% probability according to latest market rumours.

The 23-year-old defender, valued at €1.20m on Transfermarkt, is emerging as a potential target for the Graz club as they look to reinforce their options on the left side of defence ahead of the new campaign. Ouédraogo currently plays for Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga and wears the number 29 shirt.

Crucially, his contract situation at Altach is unclear, with no expiry date publicly listed. That has led to speculation he could become a free agent or be available at a reduced fee if Altach choose to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing.

Born on 2 January 2003 and standing at 1.83m, Ouédraogo is a left-footed specialist whose main position is left-back. He is listed as holding Burkinabè nationality and is yet to be firmly established as a senior international, making a domestic move within Austria a logical next step in his career.

The full-back has been a regular part of the Altach set-up in the Austrian top flight, operating in a league where both his current club and Sturm Graz compete. Recent performances for Altach in the Bundesliga have helped underpin his seven-figure valuation, with his displays at left-back drawing increased attention from domestic rivals.

Any move to Sturm Graz would keep Ouédraogo in familiar surroundings while offering a platform at a club with higher ambitions in the Austrian Bundesliga. If the transfer materialises, it could prove a pivotal moment in shaping his reputation in Europe and provide a springboard for the next phase of his career.
