Mohamed Ouahbi has praised his assistant João Sacramento, describing the Portuguese tactician as an important addition to Morocco’s national team project because of his energy, tactical approach and shared vision for the future.

Speaking in an interview with Arryadia TV, Ouahbi explained that Sacramento’s arrival was the result of a deliberate decision aimed at strengthening the coaching staff with modern ideas and European-level experience.

The Morocco coach spoke positively about the qualities Sacramento brings to the setup, highlighting both his youth and his tactical profile.

“I chose Sacramento. He is young and dynamic, an interesting profile,” the national coach said during the televised interview.

Sacramento has previously worked as assistant coach to high-profile managers including José Mourinho and Christophe Galtier, experiences which Ouahbi believes add important value to the Moroccan technical team.

Beyond coaching expertise, Ouahbi also stressed that the collaboration was built on a common ambition and a shared understanding of the direction the national team wants to take moving forward.

The coach revealed details of his first discussion with Sacramento, explaining how both men quickly aligned on the scale of the project being developed around Moroccan football.
