Mohamed Ouahbi set to outline Morocco’s 2026 World Cup plans on Arryadia TV
Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi is set to address a series of key questions about his early plans for the 2026 World Cup during a televised interview on Arryadia TV on Friday at 10:30 PM.
The appearance comes at a crucial moment in the build-up to the tournament, with expectations growing around how the new national team coach intends to shape the Atlas Lions following his appointment in March after the departure of Walid Regragui.
Ouahbi, who previously guided Morocco’s U20 side to a world title, is now preparing for his first major test in charge of the senior national team as attention turns toward the global tournament.
Central to the discussion will be the recently submitted extended squad list sent to FIFA, which has drawn interest among supporters and analysts eager to understand the coach’s early selection strategy.
His tactical approach for the competition will also come under focus, particularly with Morocco placed in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.
The interview is expected to provide clarity on several key areas shaping Morocco’s preparations.
Among them is the short pre-training camp scheduled between May 22 and May 25, which will be used to assess players whose places in the final squad remain uncertain. The sessions are expected to play a role in finalising decisions ahead of the tournament.
Ouahbi is also expected to outline his playing philosophy, with emphasis on tactical continuity, midfield structure built around a double pivot, and close monitoring of the fitness levels of key defensive players.
Another major topic will be the integration of emerging talent from Morocco’s U20 World Cup-winning team into the senior squad, a transition viewed as an important step in the national team’s long-term development.
Supporters living abroad, as well as those travelling, will be able to follow the interview live via the SNRT Live streaming platform, while key moments and statements will also be shared on Arryadia’s official social media channels.
