Wadi Degla coach Mohamed El Sheikh has urged his players to trust their character and spirit as they prepare for a difficult league clash against Zamalek this Sunday.
El Sheikh acknowledged the scale of the challenge but stressed that his side will not step onto the pitch with fear.
Speaking in a radio interview on Wednesday, he said: “The match against Zamalek will be extremely difficult, especially given the large crowd attendance. We achieved a friendly victory over Zamalek before the start of the season, and our goal is to officially repeat the victory over Zamalek.”
The coach made it clear that Degla will not sit back. “Our approach is not only defensive, but we have an offensive style, and our goal is to face Zamalek with our own character and achieve victory.”
El Sheikh also showed respect for their opponents. “We respect the Zamalek team, which has top-level players, but we are capable of achieving victory.”
Zamalek currently leads the Premier League with 10 points, while Wadi Degla sits in 14th place with 4 points.
