Mohamed Aziz Soumahoro: Ivorian-French midfielder joins Alto Casertano on free transfer

Ivorian-French midfielder Mohamed Aziz Soumahoro has joined Italian side Alto Casertano on a free transfer from Albese. The 26-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 after completing his move on 16 July 2026.

Soumahoro, who stands at 1.83m and plays predominantly as a central midfielder, arrives with extensive experience in Italy’s Serie D. Over the course of his senior career in the division, he has made almost 100 appearances, featuring 95 times in Serie D Group A and four times in Group F, as well as appearing in the Coppa Italia Serie D. He has scored four league goals, averaging more than 1,700 minutes per goal, and accumulated just over 7,000 minutes of playing time in Serie D.

The midfielder joined Albese in December 2025, also on a free transfer, after a short spell with Luese earlier in the 2025-26 season. The move to Alto Casertano continues a career spent largely in the Italian lower leagues, where he has represented a series of clubs including Derthona, Chieri, Citta di Vignola Modena, United Riccione, Asti, Sestri Levante, Massese, Saluzzo and Atletico Torino.

Capable with his right foot and used in the heart of midfield throughout his career, Soumahoro’s switch strengthens Alto Casertano’s central options ahead of the new campaign. His arrival completes a permanent move from Albese and ties him to the club for the 2026-27 season.
