Mohamed Ali Sakhri: Algerian defender joins US Biskra on one-year deal

Algerian centre-back Mohamed Ali Sakhri has joined US Biskra, signing a contract with the Ligue 1 side running until 30 June 2027. The 20-year-old defender links up with the top-flight club ahead of the new campaign as he looks to establish himself at senior level.

Sakhri’s move to US Biskra was completed on 27 July 2026, with the club securing a young central defender who fits naturally into the heart of the back line. The deal places him immediately in contention for a role in Biskra’s defensive set-up for the coming season.

Born on 1 January 2006, Sakhri represents Algeria and is listed primarily as a centre-back, a position that underlines US Biskra’s intention to reinforce the spine of their team. His arrival adds depth to a squad preparing to navigate the demands of Ligue 1.

US Biskra, who compete in Algeria’s top division, have steadily adjusted their squad during the off-season, and bringing in a 20-year-old specialist central defender aligns with their strategy of building around players who can grow within the league. Sakhri’s contract length gives both club and player a clear time frame to assess his impact at this level.

With the paperwork completed and his deal confirmed through to June 2027, Mohamed Ali Sakhri is now formally registered as a US Biskra player for the upcoming Ligue 1 campaign.
