Mohamed Abdallah: Al Ahly and Egypt winger linked with FC Zurich move
Mohamed Abdallah, the Egyptian right winger currently at Al Ahly, is being linked with a move to Swiss Super League side FC Zurich as the 20-year-old attracts interest from Europe following his breakthrough season in Egypts top flight.
Abdallah has emerged in the Al Ahly first-team picture over the past campaign, registering 16 Premier League appearances, with one goal and two assists from the right flank. Capable of operating as a left-footed winger on the right, he has also featured in domestic cup competitions and made his debut in the CAF Champions League, adding to a growing body of senior experience for a player of his age.
The wingers current market value is estimated at around 200,000, a figure that would represent a relatively low-cost option for Zurich as they explore attacking reinforcements. Any deal would involve negotiations with Al Ahly, who only promoted Abdallah from their U19 side to the senior set-up in August 2024.
Abdallah also spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Cleopatra FC before returning to Al Ahly at the end of that spell, a move that provided him with additional minutes at senior level before rejoining the Cairo giants this summer.
The Egypt youth product, born in El Sharkia in October 2005 and standing at 1.80m, currently remains under contract at Al Ahly, with no expiry date publicly disclosed, meaning Zurich would have to agree a transfer fee if they decide to turn their interest into a formal offer.
