Moghreb Tetouan sign Morocco left-back Moncef Amri on free transfer

Morocco left-back Moncef Amri has joined Moghreb Tetouan from FUS Rabat on a free transfer, adding an experienced defender to the Botola Pro Inwi club’s squad.

The 32-year-old completed the move on 8 September 2026 and has agreed a contract running until 30 June 2028. Amri, who is 1.80m tall and prefers his left foot, moves between two clubs in Morocco’s top flight after two seasons with FUS Rabat.

Amri made 115 appearances in Botola Pro Inwi before the transfer, scoring five goals and providing 11 assists. He also played in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, CAF Champions League and Excellence Cup during his career.

His time at FUS Rabat followed a free transfer from AS FAR Rabat in August 2024. He had spent the previous season with AS FAR after joining from OC Safi in July 2023.

Amri began his senior career with Ait Melloul, his birthplace, before moving to Kenitra in 2018. He later left Kenitra for OC Safi in November 2020, establishing a career across Morocco’s domestic game before returning to the Botola Pro Inwi with AS FAR and FUS Rabat.

The move gives Moghreb Tetouan a left-sided defender with extensive top-flight experience and a record of contributing both goals and assists from the back. Amri’s highest recorded market value was €500,000, while his value at the time of the move was €225,000.

He joins Moghreb Tetouan as the latest step in a career spent entirely in Moroccan football, having represented Ait Melloul, Kenitra, OC Safi, AS FAR Rabat and FUS Rabat.

Amri’s transfer to Moghreb Tetouan was completed on 8 September 2026, with the left-back’s contract due to run until June 2028.
