Zambian Midfielder Aaron Katebe Joins Moghreb Tetouan on Two-Year Deal
By BBC News Sport Africa
Moghreb Tetouan have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Zambian international Aaron Katebe, as the Moroccan side looks to rebuild following the departure of two key players this summer.
Katebe arrives from Zambian top-flight club FC Platinum and has signed a two-year contract with the Botola Pro outfit, according to Mountakhab.net. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder brings international experience and versatility to a Tetouan side undergoing transition.
The signing comes at a critical time for the club, which recently lost central defender Mortada Fall to reigning Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca, while forward Mohcine Yajour departed for a new adventure in Qatar. Both were instrumental figures in the team, and their exits left significant gaps in the squad.
Interestingly, Katebe had also attracted interest from Wydad Casablanca, but it is Moghreb Tetouan who secured his signature as they aim to remain competitive in the league.
Katebe’s arrival is expected to bring added stability and depth to Tetouan’s midfield as the club looks to bounce back in the upcoming season.
