Modern Sport’s transfer window just got more exciting with the arrival of Tunisian left-back Ahmed Mazhoud.
The Egyptian Premier League club secured the experienced defender on a free transfer after his time at Etoile Sportive de Metlaoui.
Mazhoud, 30, penned a three-year contract as part of the club’s ongoing plan to build a solid team for the upcoming season. With spells at US Monastir, AS Djerba, and ES Metlaoui under his belt, the Tunisian brings much-needed experience to the backline.
This move is the latest in a string of smart signings by Modern Sport, who are clearly determined to make a strong impact. The club earlier secured the services of Mohamed Abou Gabal, the former goalkeeper of Zamalek and Al-Ahly Bank.
Also new to the squad are Nigerian striker Godwin Cheika from Tala’ea El Gaish, Algerian midfielder Adam Radjim from JS Kabylie, and Ismaily duo Kamal El Sayed and Emad Hamdy.
