In a significant move, Modern Sport has confirmed the departure of Abdel Halim Ali, ending his tenure as the club’s football director.
The decision, made amicably between both parties, marks the end of Ali’s involvement with the team.
Ali, a former Zamalek star, had joined Modern Sport as part of the technical staff under French coach Frank Douma. With prior experience in similar roles at Zamalek and Al-Masry Al-Port Said, Abdel Halim Ali brought a wealth of knowledge to the club. However, the club and Ali agreed to part ways, with the board, led by Dr. Walid Dabis, extending their gratitude for his service.
Modern Sport, currently in last place in the Egyptian League with just 9 points, is under the guidance of Algerian coach Abdelhak Bin Sheikha. The club will now look to move forward in hopes of improving their form as they navigate through the rest of the season.
