Modern Sport is building big for the upcoming campaign with the signing of rising striker Mahmoud Mamdouh on a four-year deal.
The 23-year-old joins from Haras El-Hodoud after helping them gain promotion to the Egyptian Premier League and scoring seven league goals last season.
Club president Dr. Walid Dabbas finalized the deal with Mamdouh following a meeting on Tuesday, confirming the striker as the latest piece in an ambitious squad rebuild.
Mamdouh isn’t the only new face. Modern Sport has secured five other signings, including experienced Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal, who arrives on a free transfer from Al-Bank Al-Ahly. Also joining are Petrojet playmaker Rashad El-Metwally, Ismaily duo Emad Hamdy and Kamal El-Sayed, and Tunisian left-back Ahmed Mazhoud from Etoile Sportive Metlaoui.
To guide the new-look team, the club has named seasoned coach Magdy Abdel-Ati as technical director ahead of the new season.
Modern Sport’s transfer activity signals serious intent, with a blend of youth and experience as they prepare to challenge in the Egyptian top flight.
