Tamer Mostafa, the coach of Modern Future team, has expressed readiness for his team’s upcoming match against Al Hilal Libya in the Confederation Cup.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the match, Mostafa stated, “We welcome our brothers from Egypt, their second home.
It’s a different game; the opponent is playing for a single chance, and so are we.
I hope luck is on our side tomorrow, and we achieve our goal of advancing for the first time in our history.”
Optimistic about Modern Future’s prospects, Mostafa added, “I believe in Modern Future’s experience and the group of players with me.
They are capable of taking the team further in Africa and the league as well.
I have been with the team for a short period, and time has not been sufficient yet, but our ambition is great, and with focus, we can reach the farthest point.”
He noted the team’s challenges due to match pressure and fatigue from traveling, especially after returning from South Africa and immediately traveling to face Smouha in Alexandria.
However, he expressed confidence in the players’ quality, experience, and current psychological motivation to achieve better results in the upcoming period.
Modern Future is currently in Group A alongside Al Hilal Libya, USM Alger, and SuperSport United from South Africa. Modern Future holds 8 points in second place, while Al Hilal Libya sits in third place with 6 points.
The match against Al Hilal Libya will determine the second qualifier behind USM Alger, who has already secured qualification. Modern Future needs at least a draw to advance to the Confederation Quarterfinals.
