M’Baye Niang, recently loaned to Montpellier from AC Milan, has made headlines both on and off the pitch. On the field, he has impressed with three goals in four Ligue 1 matches. However, off the field, he found himself in trouble after losing control of his Ferrari and crashing into a tree.
Just four days after the accident, Midi Libre reported that the 19-year-old forward is being questioned by investigators at the Montpellier central police station. The authorities are trying to determine whether Niang was indeed driving the car, as he claimed, or if he provided false information. Additionally, they are investigating the validity of Niang’s driver’s license.
This incident brings back memories of Niang’s previous troubles with driving without a license, as he was arrested for the same offense back in September 2012 during his time at AC Milan.
