Manchester United will be without midfielder Kobbie Mainoo for their upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Mainoo, the 18-year-old English player of Ghanaian descent, played an important role in United’s dominant 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
With braces from Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, the Red Devils moved up to ninth place in the table, closing the gap to Champions League spots to just four points.
However, Mainoo will miss the Arsenal match due to a suspension for accumulating five yellow cards. He was booked during the Everton game after a foul on Dwight McNeil early in the second half.
This suspension is a setback for manager Ruben Amorim, who has overseen an unbeaten start in his first three matches since replacing interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
With Mainoo sidelined, Casemiro, who partnered with him in midfield against Everton, is expected to retain his spot in the starting lineup for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.
