Michael Olise’s ever-present Bundesliga run with Bayern Munich is set to end this weekend, as the winger will miss the Matchday 22 clash against Werder Bremen due to suspension.
The French-born attacker has collected five yellow cards this season and must now serve a one-game ban, ruling him out of the trip to Bremen.
Since arriving at Bayern in the summer of 2024, Olise has been a constant fixture in the league side, featuring in all 55 possible Bundesliga matches up to this point, a level of reliability unmatched by any of his current teammates.
His absence comes as a blow to Vincent Kompany’s team, with Olise currently leading the Bundesliga assist charts on 16. Across all competitions this season, he has produced 13 goals and 21 assists in 34 club appearances, underlining his status as one of Bayern’s key creative forces.
Bayern will now have to adjust their attacking setup for the visit of Werder, hoping the rest of the forward line can compensate for the loss of their most productive provider in the final third.
