Michael Olise is the assist leader in Europe
Michael Olise is enjoying a spectacular season with Bayern Munich, and his latest assist against Real Madrid has only strengthened his status as Europe’s most productive creator.
In the 2–1 Champions League quarter-final first-leg win, the French winger once again showcased his vision and composure in the final third.
Across all competitions this season, Olise has now racked up 27 assists, the highest total of any player in Europe’s top five leagues. That tally puts him well clear of his closest challengers and underlines just how central he has become to Bayern’s attacking play.
Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United is next on the list with 17 assists, while Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez sits just behind on 16. A group of stars share fourth place on 15 assists, including Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson, Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler, Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal and Bayern teammate Luis Diaz.
Olise’s consistency at the top level is turning an impressive season into a historic one. If he maintains this rhythm through the business end of the campaign, the 24-year-old could redefine what elite playmaking looks like in modern European football.
