Michael Folorunsho emerges as Torino target in potential Napoli transfer
Michael Folorunsho, the Italian-Nigerian midfielder currently with Napoli, has been linked with a move to Serie A rivals Torino.
The proposed transfer would see the 28-year-old leave Napoli for another Italian top-flight club, with Torino identified as the side interested in securing his services. Folorunsho plays in central midfield and is valued at €5m.
The speculation comes with Folorunsho under contract at Napoli until 30 June 2029. That means any move would require an agreement between the two clubs, rather than allowing the midfielder to leave as a free agent.
Folorunsho’s nationality is recorded as both Italy and Nigeria, while his current and potential destination clubs are both based in Italy’s Serie A. Napoli are therefore understood to be considering a transfer involving a player who remains tied to the club for almost three more years.
No transfer fee, agreement or probability of the move has been established, and the link remains at the rumour stage. For now, Folorunsho’s contractual position places him under Napoli’s control as Torino’s reported interest develops.
